Sinus Infections Empty Re: Sinus Infections

Yucko. Sorry! My husband has put a drop of Yerba mansa in his neti pot when things get a little yucky. A drop of goldenseal helped clear the green mucus, but it's really drying. He uses it sparingly.

Here's a great recipe both of us have used for colds. It's from Sharol Tilgner's book, Herbal Medicine from the Heart of the Earth.

Sinus/Allergy Formula:

Eyebright, 20-30%
Osha, 20-30%
Yarrow, 20-30%
Horseradish, 10-15%
Oregon grape, 10-15%

Dosages: 30-60 drops in a little water, 3-5 times per day as needed for acute symptoms. Tea: 1-2 heaping teaspoons per cup water, 3-5 times per day as need for acute symptoms.

It is anti-inflammatory, decongestant, astringent, immune enhancing and antimicrobial. It is specific for the upper respiratory tract.

Tastes good, too!

One of these days I want to make Gail's nasal spray. Haven't done it yet.

Hope you're all well soon!
