Little "fairy's" meaning the ones that live in the x-mas trees in the twinkling lights.
I'm in Santa Barbara and off to LA Sunday. It's cold here to. glad I'll be coming up for a few days...I can check my plants

through, then proceeded to pack it down with boot foot. moon is in aries so... what else are we gonna do 'cept weed, boar through old the bush "control pests"

Re: Around the "Gardening/Planting" Campfire
hmmm, the poppies have finished with their sleep, eh?
i was just thinking today, as i walked through the small bit of unmanaged land near my mother's house, that this weak winter will surely fool spring into early arrival. it was nearly 70 degrees today. a late sunset of intense orange and red, melting into other shades, yet to be named.
and sure enough the trees seem their energy is already working out of their roots... supple branches and swollen buds. and more dandelions. dandelions, i've spoken of them before yes? even in northeastern january i find them, small but strong, persistent. even as a little girl i claimed dandelions to be my favorite flower. must have been about 10 then. they're not afriad, i'd say. but still my grandmother sprayed them each spring.
a little early spring doesnt hurt...

Re: Around the "Gardening/Planting" Campfire
Good to hear from you mademoiselle. My poppy is also starting to sprout up. Unless it's something else in the pot. Got a garden plot 10x20 for the year at the local Sonoma garden park. I'm really excited to be able to have a big space to grow what I want. I'm thinking Angelica, Calendula, Mullein, poppy, echinacea...so many options.

Re: Around the "Gardening/Planting" Campfire
Just potted my seedlings of calendula and Holy Basil. So happy. but forgot about stratifying the echinacea. gotta try that again.
Found Ashwaganda and Gota Kola at Hartmony. I think there are 2 left of Ashwaganda and about 4 of Gota Kola.
I'm really excited about having my first medicianl herb garden.
