Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I am formulating a tincture for someone with chronic fatigue syndrome. She is being treated at a chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia clinic, and is taking bookoodles of supplements and medications, and wants to add herbs. Between her, her doctor, and me, we have come up with the following: licorice, eleuthero, ginkgo, astragalus root, nettle, ginger, milk thistle. Some of the other herbs I would have included, such as passionflower/valerian for sleep, she is already taking.
Does anyone have any comments on either the herbs or the % to use?
You who are in 2nd year, how's it going?

Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I may want to add Reishi to that. It's a deep immune bilder and good for fatigue and all over wellbeing and mood. I would probably make it as equal a part as eleuthero.
year 2 is good, a lot of cliniical studies, case studies etc. It doesn't seem like enough time, 1 day a week.
Its been a while since I've been on so It's nice to get back in touch with the forum.
Hope you are well

Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Thanks for the reishi suggestion. Question: she also has candida, so is using mushroom OK?

Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I'm not sure about candida and Reishi. You may want to do research on the web about that. You should be OK with what you have without the reishi. but if research shows that then try it.
From my short search online it seems to be used for candida....

Found this great site and article. Scroll down to the fungi heading for moer about reishi and candida.

Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Thanks, Tina. I think I am satisfied that reishi is useful for candida. But....now I can't find any in stock until after Sept. 30. So I'll add it later for her.
I've been fine. Making lots of medicine. Next is a rheumatoid arthritis formula. I am happy to make it all--it keeps me studying. As always, I'd love any input!
I will be Grandma again in Jan., a girl this time!
I heard about Kat Harrison's accident. Do you know how she's doing?
