first off, The Cosmic Serpent, Jeremy Narby, is absolutely amazing. Terrence McKenna-esque philosphies on Amazonian ethnobotany, Ayuhuasca, with links to.... be brave... molecular biology.

Amazing, and written in a humble, detective-story kind of way. not so serious. it sucked me in.

Secondly, anything from Wade Davis. He's a brilliant antropologist/ethnobotanist, he speaks a great deal on the plight on the ...

Just started reading Plant Spirit Medicine. Well i'm 55 pages into it, so i can't speak yet of the work as a whole, but must say that it's a fascinating read so far. chock-full of stories that challenge the general notions of what is possible and demonstrate the amazing interconnections inherent in the universe! highly entertaining, thought-provoking, relevant... 'sgood, y'all- pick it up if you get a chance!

A good book. Not necessarilly wonderfully written but the story was good. A bit bothered by the fact that, of course, it's the Catholic church that wants to steal kids souls. Rushed through it to finish so I can see the movie. It ends with a great lead in to the 2nd book which I will of course get...

have had this book for for awhile, read pages from time to time, got it at one of those used book stores, the cover of mine looks differant than the one at amazon. it is the diary of a five or six year old little girl written just after 1900, she was orphaned before she was 5, adopted by an Oregon lumberman and his wife

and transported across the country to live in nearly 20 lumber camps by

the time she was 12 years old.
